Note that for Chinese users, Xiaomi quite officially offers to test the new feature. In other regions, you can install the latest versions of MIUI Themes 1.7.6.0 and MIUI Always-on display 1.19.387 by downloading the APK files from the link at the end of the news.
However, you can do this only at your own peril and risk, on some smartphones they may not be installed. So, the Indian version of Redmi K20 Pro does not allow installing MIUI Themes 1.7.6.0, and without it, new styles do not work, even with the new version of MIUI Always-on display. Also, the trick may not work on MIUI firmware in certain regions.
After installation, you will need to go to MIUI Themes, go to the “always-on” section of the Always-on Display screen, download new themes, and you can choose from more than a thousand options. In addition, after installing the theme, you will need to activate the “active screen” item in the general settings of the active screen and the lock tap.
